Gold Medal to Laki


ARCHT. PROF. LAKSHMAN ALWIS AWARDED SRI LANKA INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS GOLD MEDAL

The Sri Lanka Institute of Architects at its inauguration of the sessions held on 20 February 2013, the Gold Medal was awarded to Prof. Lakshman Alwis for his contribution to Architecture, Architectural Education and Profession.

This is the highest award given by the Institute. The inaugural Gold Medal was awarded to the legendary Archt. Geoffrey Bawa in 1985. Five others have received since then. Prof. Alwis is the seventh to receive this award.
