Richard Jacob, A PP of Rotary Club of

Damansara of District 3300 is 63 years in age

and is the founder and Principal Consultant of

RCJ Consulting Sdn Bhd. He is an Erickson

Certified Professional Coach and an HRDF

Approved trainer, an American Management

Association (AMA) Global Faculty Member.

His core competence is in Leadership, Strategy,

Sales and Marketing and Business Finance. He

has delivered training programs in Cairo, Dubai,

Tokyo, Manila, Singapore, Jakarta, Lahore,

Karachi, Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Saigon,

Hanoi, Melbourne and Sydney.

He has an MBA from Cranfield School of

Management in the United Kingdom, a leading

European Business School. He is an

Accountant by training and was an Auditor in

an international firm of Accountants for nine

years. His experience comes from being a

Financial Manager, Company Secretary and

Business Development Manager in a leading

Swedish pharmaceutical company by the name

of Astra Pharmaceutical.

Richard has 20 years of solid training and

facilitation experience both internationally and

locally. His experience includes lecturing in

foreign university endorsed programs in

Malaysia. More recently he has lectured in a very

current subject entitled “Sustainable Business”

for the York St. John University in the UK. His

core competence is in Coaching, Leadership,

Strategy, Marketing and Finance

Richard has also lectured in his core

competencies for degree and MBA franchise

programs for the University of Northumbria,

University of Tasmania and University of

Sunderland. More recently he has gone back to

lecture a Master’s program for The University

of York, St.John of UK teaching “Sustainable

Business”.

He is married with 3 children. His Ann is

Nirmala, His eldest son is Calvin whose spouse

is Idahani, second son is Jason and his wife is

Sara and his youngest daughter is Fallon.

RI Assembly

Rotary Clubs Chartered in 1929 met in Mumbai

Nithi and Sarav represented Colombo Club in Mumbai.

The Rotary Club of Bombay hosted a 3-day fellowship for a newly formed grouping of all Rotary Clubs formed in 1929. The following clubs were represented:

1.        RC Bombay, India

2.        RC Seramban, Malaysia

3.        RC Madras, India

4.        RC Canon City, CO, USA

5.        RC Leipzig, Germany

6.        RC Colombo

This is the 2^nd meeting of this grouping that was formed in 2013. Rtn Nithi and Rtn Sarav attended from our club.

The first day was spent at a weekend getaway of Rtn Ashish Vaid, the second day was sightseeing around Bombay followed by a scrumptious dinner at the Malabar Hill Club hosted by PP Pradeep Mafatlal, the third day we visited a site where RC Bombay had completed a successful clean drinking water project, this was followed by a luncheon meeting.

PP Raja Sabanayagam from RC Madras gave a history of all the clubs formed in 1929 and our connection to James Wheeler Davidson. RC Colombo has been requested to host the 3^rd meeting, probably in 2018. All in all it was a very successful fellowship.
